I think this article is partial and has no encyclopedical value. (M.R.M, Ph.D., Specialist on climate change) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.52.190.90 (talk) 14:16, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can anyone see any reason to keep this page? Obviously an advert, and I don't think it's notable enough to keep even if it was rewritten. Restepc 18:34, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think that the Carbon Disclosure Project is an organisation that is important enough to justify an entry. In a few short years they have gone from an idea to forcing /enabling companies to report their carbon emissions. Climate change is an important issue and CDP are playing a strong role. As an example the World Economic Forum has invited them to be the secretariat for a project which will create globally-recognised carbon disclosure guidelines for companies.

The second question is whether the page is good enough. Clearly a cut and paste job from a brochure is not good enough. So, perhaps it needs a good re-write? (A first time contribution - so apologies if I don't get the etiquette right.) bentdavid (talk) 17:41, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

After a bit of googling I'm inclined to agree. Welcome to wiki by the way, are you the same David Bent from forumforthefuture.org.uk?

Etiquette wise, as long as you're polite and try to keep edits of actual pages neutral I wouldn't worry.

Having problems adding the citations requested for the HBR and Zayed prize. Perhaps someone with more experience than I have can successd.

HBR sourcce is http://blogs.hbr.org/winston/2010/10/the-most-powerful-green-ngo.html

Zayed prize is not yet on Zayed website but is public at http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20120117007117/en/Zayed-Future-Energy-Prize-Announces-Winners

When I try to add things it is locked onto a CDP site and I do not have the know how to get around it. Neil Fairhead 00:02, 19 February 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Neil Fairhead (talkcontribs)

Hello. I want to state first up that I work for CDP, so I'm wary of making any changes myself. However, there is quite a lot of outdated information on this page as you can see from CDP's website (https://www.cdp.net/en-US/Pages/HomePage.aspx), recent press releases (https://www.cdp.net/en-US/News/CDP%20News%20Article%20Pages/Investor-support-for-environmental-data-collection-grows-apace.aspx) and various articles (http://www.theguardian.com/sustainable-business/2014/oct/15/facebook-cdp-transparency-carbon-emissions ; http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2014-10-17/from-apple-to-wal-mart-companies-make-bets-on-climate-change). Hi - it has been suggested by others (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Editor_assistance/Requests#Carbon_Disclosure_Project) that despite my conflict of interest (I work for CDP), it is acceptable for me to make purely factual, well-sourced edits. This I intend to do, but please do let me know if there are any queries over the edits I have made. AlexCDP (talk) 14:44, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Page name change

[edit]

Since Carbon Disclosure Project is its old name, as stated in the first sentence of the article, this article name should be changed to just CDP. 175.184.246.155 (talk) 02:47, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

CDP organisation

[edit]

It is very hard to find detailed information about the global CDP organisation. They should be more open. How many people are employed, what are the detailed costs and expenses. Salaries that are paid, etc., etc. 157.97.122.49 (talk) 17:03, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
